This week I will be working at “La Villa Des Basques,” an old age home in Trois Pistoles, Quebec. I will be helping out around the home and spend time talking and playing cards with the residents. (I will be sure to brush up on my crib playing skills this evening or it could get quite embarrassing tomorrow!)
Spending time at an old age home has always been something that I wanted to do, but have never done so. I think we can learn so much from the elderly, yet we tend not to take the time to ask the questions. This will be a great opportunity for me to do so and draw from their wealth of life experience while at the same time practicing my french!
It will be really interesting to hear their perspective on One Week Job and just on careers in general.

Dude! I worked there!!! Make sure to speak clearly and loudly. Ask to look at their photos! They’ll tell you their entire life story and about how they have 10 kids and 30 grandkids. Get ready for some good BINGO too! If you work with Joceleyne Albert, give her a big bonjour for me and tell her que je reviens au mois d’ aout.
Cheers,
Salut Sean!
Tu vas voir, les personnes agées québécoises sont super sweet!!! Amuse-toi avec eux! And tell me if you stop in Montreal!
