Indiegogo Campaign Launched – Please Support!

in One Week Job - USA, Project Updates

We just launched our Indiegogo Campaign to raise funds for One Week Job USA – the courageous quest of 60 year-old, Linda Chase, to work 52 jobs in 52 weeks throughout America in an attempt to re-discover her passions; to find gainful, meaningful employment, and to inspire others, regardless of age, that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.

Campaign page:

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support production costs of the feature length documentary film chronicling Linda’s journey and to support Linda’s travel expenses throughout the yearlong experience.

We believe that Linda’s story has incredible potential to impact so many others who find themselves in a similar situation. It’s our hope that Linda’s willingness to be vulnerable and share her familiar struggles will provide strength and courage for others to live each day fully, to take risks, and to keep their dreams alive.

Please consider contributing what you can and/or spreading the word so we can continue production and bring Linda’s incredible story to life!

With gratitude,

I admit, I don’t know a lot about the story, but as a small business owner, the idea of 52 businesses investing time, energy and training someone who had no intention of staying there, who was doing this as part of a master plan, is disturbing. It is not all about her journey.

Hi Margit, Thanks for the note. You can learn more about Linda’s story and reasons for embarking on the journey here:

    • Vanessa

I understand where you’re coming from, but there are advertising perks if she goes viral, and as long as the company knows what they signed up for, then why not. This sounds like an amazing opportunity to find what inspires you to pursue. I would love to do this (with my own choice of careers and as long as I get paid!!!!)

  • Marc Howard

Totally agree Vanessa–and the thing is most business owners are bored. Why not ad some spice by having someone on an epic journey be a part of your company? If I was an employee there that would inspire the hell out of me. One Week Job totally rocks.
