Dear Potential Employer,

Thanks for your willingness to support the One Week Job program!
If you’re reading this, it’s likely you’ve been contacted by one of the program participants about a potential “One Week Job” placement with your company.
The One-Week Job Project began with Sean Aiken’s search for a meaningful career after college graduation; he worked 52 jobs in 52 weeks to find his passion.
He traveled all over North America, from a Fashion Buyer in New York, to a Park Ranger in Hawaii, to a Radio DJ in Toronto. The story was covered by media outlets around the world, including The New York Times, CNN, The Rachael Ray Show, and Good Morning America.
Sean’s journey, with all the ups and downs and the life lessons he learned along the way, is captured in the book he wrote about the experience, and in the upcoming documentary film directed by friend and filmmaker, Ian MacKenzie.
Now that the original project is completed, Sean and Ian felt inspired to make the opportunity accessible to others and so created The One-Week Job Program.
This summer three participants will perform 8 different One Week Job’s to help them figure out what they’d like to do for a career. The selected applicants will blog about their experience on the OneWeekJob.com website; they’ll share stories from the road, all the career and life lessons they’re learning, and provide readers with an insight into the 8 different jobs.
So, why should you get involved with the program?
1. Get exposure for your company
As the participants will be blogging about their experience, your company will benefit from exposure on the OneWeekJob.com website, and possibly in other print and TV media. You will also be featured in the weekly video clips provided by the participant at their current job.
2. Help others find their passion!
We believe that more and more people are choosing to seek meaningful careers that match their skills, that is in line with their passions and values, and ultimately that allows them to make a positive contribution to society.
This only happens when we are granted the opportunity to explore our strengths, what makes us happy in the work place, and what we are truly passionate about.
By taking part in this program, and sharing your profession and life experience, you’re helping us move closer to a time where having a fulfilling career becomes the norm rather than a rarity.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support!
